Scott Voltage FR 730

The NEW SCOTT Voltage FR 730 is your one stop shop for bikeparks, downhill tracks, and any trail that deserves a good ol' roostin’. The bike has been designed around a 27.5” wheel standard, but can be converted to run 26” wheels so that no matter the terrain or style you are riding, you have the right tool for the job. Thanks to a low BB, a slack head angle, short chain stays and a low leverage ratio, this bike will surely put a grin on your face.

Wheelsize
Bike parks differ, as do riding styles and riders. With that idea in mind, we tried to design a bike that allows you to decide on set up based on your specific needs. With the available geometry and travel adjustments the Voltage FR has the geometry you need with either wheel size. Thanks to adjustable suspension travel, chainstay lengths, head angles and the ability to run different fork heights, we were able to create a perfect park bike regardless of whether you want to run 26” or 27.5” wheels. Why compromise if you don't have to?

IDS-X dropouts. Simpler, stiffer, lighter
In this image you can see the eccentric and conically shaped axle head of the IDS-X dropout. This design allows for pinch bolt like tightness of the rear axle without the need for pinch bolts. The IDS-X dropout is simpler, stiffer and lighter than a traditional setup. In addition, the axle head keys into the frame creating a stronger connection than a traditional round interface would to better resist the lateral flex in hard cornering situations. We eliminated complexity and weight while at the same time adding cornering traction.

Interchangeable dropout system
The Voltage FR has two different dropout options. There is a standard 10mm x 135mm dropout for bolt on and quick release rear hubs, and there is the IDS-X Dropout. The IDS-X Dropout is for 12mm x 135mm rear hubs and has two chain stay length options.

Rear travel adjust
The Voltage FR has two rear travel options hidden within the linkage. Flip the shock mount so that the shock bolt is on top for 170mm of travel, or inverse the mount so that the shock bolt is in the lower position for 190mm of rear wheel travel. The 170mm setting is right at home on jumps while the 190mm setting is better for the DH tracks.

Adjustable geometry

Whether you want to run a single crown or double crown fork, or 26” or 27.5” wheels- the geometry is adjustable to suit. With 170mm to 190mm of rear travel with short and steep or long and slack geometries, the Voltage FR is ready for anything in the bike park. Whatever your style, wherever you ride, the Voltage FR has you sorted. Chain Stay Length – 410mm or 425mm. Head Angle – 62° to 66°. Fork – Single Crown (160mm or 180mm) or Double Crown 200mm. Wheel Size – 26” or 27.5”. Rear Suspension Travel – 170mm or 190mm.

Adjustable head angle
The Voltage FR has a stock head angle of 64 degrees. Thanks to the included Syncros Angled Headsets in both 1 degree and 2 degrees you have access to a head angle range of 62 degrees to 66 degrees. This covers all of the bike park bases from the tech DH tracks to the A Line style jump trails.

Internal cable routing
Keeping the derailleur housing safe from chain slap is the key to a happy and long bike park season. Therefore, we ran the cable through the seat stay out of harm's way, creating a much cleaner look.

One piece link
The linkage of the Voltage FR starts out as two forged pieces which are then machined from the inside out to reduce weight. After all the unnecessary weight is machined out, the pieces are welded together to form a stiff yet lightweight link with a dialed kinematic curve.
